I’ve been hard at work building our new website, jessicaivy.ie and I’m excited to finally share it with you!

By writing this article I am taking the opportunity to share my brand’s story and go over some of the key improvements that come with the launch of the new site.

I’d love for you to take a look around and share your thoughts on it over on Instagram, Facebook or leave a comment below this article.

Branding

Jessica Ivy is a 2 year old creative business in need of a branding revamp that aligned with the artist’s personality and style of work produced.

Early on I knew the Jessica Ivy logo would not change or be tweaked. In a short amount of time our logo quickly became an established identity amongst customers and stockists alike.

In order to understand what the change would be I had to go back to basics. What was I trying to visually express? What is my creative business at its core? The answer derived from what is art at its root?

Art, at its root, is an expression and the artist is an expresser. If art seeks expression, it must also seek communication. My art visually translates its message to viewers through colour.

And that’s when the magical a-ha moment happened! My brand’s personality will be expressed through colour. To visualise my brand’s feelings, beliefs and characteristics I created an inspirational mood board.

My paintings are most notable for my use of colour and subjects of wildlife. My creations are inspired by my deep respect and awe for the natural world, curiosity to travel and explore our Earth and the escapism that my painting practices allow. The Jessica Ivy brand is underpinned with a colour palette designed to match my personality and painting aesthetics -  earthy, warm and inviting.

New Site. New Style

The website features a refreshed look and improved navigation which will make the overall experience more impactful on desktop, mobile and tablet.
